Other Systems Robots

A great deal can be learned from other robotic systems, not only in construction, but also in operation and control. A constant problem is computer control. How do you write a program and in what programming language? Every detail has to be precise, a symphony of mechanics, electronics and programming. The least difficult program system is icon driven, where symbols on the screen clearly indicate what will happen. The code 7 Stepper system is a very good example. Another is the Lego Mindstorms system. Meccano itself would have gone down this road.
