Robots

Robots are excellent subjects for a Meccano model. Robots are part of Computer Integrated Manufacturing which incudes computer design and automated manufacturing machines and automated storage and retrieval machines.

The robot is a jointed machine actuated by various types of motors and computer controlled. Its hand or end-effector can be adapted according to the type of material being handled, such as parts for assembly, paint, glue, a welding gun, drilling machine, a screwdriver or spanner.

Robots do not get tired and can work all day and night and can carry out their actions with remarkable accuracy and repeatability.
