Clocks
Clocks and related mechanisms have captivated me ever since a visit to the Royal Observatory Greenwich. There I saw the Harrison clocks for the first time and rushed home to try and get his grasshopper escapement going. That started a fascination with clock escapements. Who would have thought that it would end up as the subject of a whole book!
