Events

The guild meets in February, June and October (usually on the first Saturday of the month) at Liphook Millennium Centre. In addition to our meetings we also support some of the larger national gatherings:

The International Meccano Model Show

This is the UK’s largest Meccano exhibition, running for two days in May or June. The venue is the Embassy Theatre on the seafront in Skegness, Lincolnshire. Our members take around 40 feet of table space at this show and our members are always in the top five list of competition winners.

The Henley Gathering

The guild is invited every year to this exhibition which is organised by the Henley Society of Meccano Engineers. The event takes place annually on the first Saturday after the August Bank Holiday Monday, in Henley-upon-Thames, which many see as the home of Meccano.

Discover all of the Meccano events taking place in London at londonmeccanoclub.org.uk.

St Mary's Steam and Vintage Festival (Eversley RG27)

Saturday 21 June 2025, 11:00am – 4:00pm

This will be the second year of the event. It’s a small vintage festival with vintage machinery and model railways that Jonathan Clark organises as a fundraiser for the church, the money being used to maintain the over 300 year old building and keep the church functioning as a part of the community. Last year the event attracted 450 members of the public and we hope to improve this number this year.

Visitors can expect all manner of attractions from every part of the vintage movement.  We will have model railways, Meccano, Steam Traction engine rides accompanied by many other vintage vehicles both military and civilian.  There will also be a display of stationary engines by members of the Wessex stationary engine club.

Tea coffee and BBQ refreshments will be on sale.

Additional exhibitors (whether Meccano or anything else Steam or Vintage) are most welcome.

Provided they reserve space in advance via Jonathan Clark (contact details below) exhibitors will receive a pass entitling them to complimentary drinks and BBQ

Exhibitors are asked to complete set up by 10.30 in good time for opening at 11.00
