In addition to our meetings, the guild also supports some of the larger national gatherings:

The International Meccano Model Show

This is the UK’s largest Meccano exhibition, running for three days usually over the first weekend in July each year (although in 2017 the dates will be Friday 23 June – Sunday 25 June). The venue is the Embassy Theatre on the seafront in Skegness, Lincolnshire. Our members take around 40 feet of table space at this show and our members are always in the top five list of competition winners.

The Henley Gathering

The guild is invited every year to this exhibition which is organised by the Henley Society of Meccano Engineers. The event takes place on the first Saturday every September in Henley-upon-Thames, which many see as the home of Meccano.

Midhurst Modellers Exhibition

Sunday 11 February 2018, 10:00am – 4:30pm

The annual Modellers' Exhibition at the Grange Leisure Centre in Midhurst is one of the biggest displays of models to be found in the South. From relatively small beginnings in 1983, it has grown steadily in size.

The main hall will be devoted to model railways, including numerous layouts, together with trade and society stands and demonstrations. Other halls will house a wide variety of further exhibits including cars and other vehicles, dolls houses, engines, helicopters, planes, Meccano, military models and boats of all shapes and sizes.

The thousands of models on show, together with a wide selection of trade stands, will provide something for everyone, young or old, serious modellers or casual viewers.
