Soul Shaker

The coming of two Exhibitions later this year, St Albans & SELMEC gave me the opportunity to produce first a model which I started in September which I called " Wave Rider " based on a modern fairground ride seen in large amusement parks, but of a design of my own, many teething troubles and adjustments finally made the model work almost right and ready for the Exhibition. Further improvements have been made to this model.

Having extra time I decided to start building another new model which I started on Monday the 15th of October and was completed on Friday the 26th, based on another fairground concept of a rotating structure holding 4 cars and 4 seats, the seats are permanently fixed, but the cars are held with hinges and tension springs to made them jump if an obstacle is placed underneath the main wheels, so the name "soul Shaker " was chosen.

Four columns support a roof structure with an interior transformer light, a front area with a kiosk, steps etc and many embellishments.

The model is fitted to a base holding the motor and gear system with a final axle connecting the rotating unit, once in place with only two bolts, which is removable for easier transportation due to its heavy weight.
