Part 1 - V12 Engine

The first stage of building the Lamborghini was to produce a fully "working" stand alone model of the engine and transmission.

In part 1 of this phase, I built the V12 engine with working pistons, valves and simulated spark plugs.

Along with part 2, it demonstrates the Countach engine's unique design - with the gearbox ahead of the engine, and the drive shaft passing back through the sump to the differential built into the sump.

It features twin 6 plug distributors characteristic of the earlier LP400 Countach - later models had a single 12 plug distributor which would I think, have been very difficult to model - perhaps a future challenge!
