The front cover of this issue shows the Beaumont-English Tunnel Boring Machine (1880) built by Howard Somerville. A feature article on this model appears on page 43 of this issue. I was looking for my treasure chest before going to Kempton and could not find it. Imagine my surprise when I found out it had ended up at the bottom of the English Channel, surrounded by fish(plates).
