Rolling Bridge

Meccano model of the Thomas Heatherwick rolling bridge commissioned in 2006 on part of the Grand Union canal in Paddington, London.

The model has six sections folding onto an hexagon and is electro-mechanically operated, whereas the prototype has eight sections folding into an octagon which is hydraulically operated.
